December 9, 1938 - October 10, 2021, Myrtle Grey "Peggy" Barnett passed away on October 10, 2021 in Cowen, West Virginia. Quentin Eugene Wood (Woody), retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quaker State Oil Corp., a Fortune 500 company, Past Chairman of Penn State Universitys Board of Trustees, and a Penn State Distinguished Alumnus of the class of 1948, died Feb. 25, 2023. Jerry McMurdy, 82, of Harrisville, died unexpectedly in a car accident the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023. "Peggy" Barnett, 78, of East Hickory, PA went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2020, peacefully at her home. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Everett A. Barnett. David Morris officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. She was born December 9, 1938 in Arcola to the late Robert and Myrtle Holcomb Mick.She was a homemaker, caregiver, liked going to Bingo, cooking, making bread, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
